Originally a Birmingham native, Dr. Laith Matalka received his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Molecular Biology. Following this, he obtained his dental degree at the UAB School of Dentistry. His passion for changing peoples smiles steadily grew from his experience at the Foundry Dental Center in Bessemer, AL. During his one year General Practice Residency he learned a wide range of skill sets including IV sedation, comprehensive implant training, extensive bone graft training, and restoring complex mouths.

Dr. Laith Matalka and his wonderful wife, Karli, reside in Irondale, Alabama with their baby boy and their Aussie Doodle. When he isn’t tending to his patients, his family enjoys going on hikes, playing board games with friends, and eating the yummy food that Birmingham has to offer. They are also active in their church community at Trinity United Methodist.

Dr. Matalka’s goal in Dentistry is to transform the lives of his patients by giving them the smile of their dreams.
